Workshop Manager

MISSION OF THE POSITION

The candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the workshop, achieving objectives and targets, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manages day to day operations of the workshop and ensures a balanced workflow to guarantee the smooth running of the process set by management.
  • Ensures that workshop objectives and targets are achieved through monitoring of Key Performance Indicators-KPI’s.
  • Ensures compliance and implementation of company procedures and policies as well as legislative requirements pertaining to employees in the department.
  • Identifies training and development needs of individuals in the department and suggest positive solutions in liaison with the Technical Manager & HR department.
  • Proposes to management improvements, proposals and planning for the workshop.
  • Ensures implementation and compliance to Health and Safety Programs and Processes in the workshop and makes sure that all safety measures are adhered.
  • Conducts continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information (revenues, vehicle costs etc.)
  • Organizes analyses, interprets and evaluates results and provides practical, cost effective solutions.
  • Attends to serious customers queries and provides technical advice.
  • Conduct suppliers’ evaluation


REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
  • 5 to 8 years work experience of managing and running a workshop in the same industry
  • University certificate in Mechanical/ Electro-Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent
  • Familiar with and understands local and regional market structure
  • Has mastered the basic consulting, selling and negotiating techniques
  • Knowledge of how to handle warranty and goodwill cases
  • Advanced vehicles diagnostics experience
  • Good command of English and Arabic
  • Proficient in MS Office use
  • Excellent Client service orientation, People Management and Team Building ability.
  • Excellent Influencing, Strategic Alignment and Change leadership skills.
  • Excellent Decisiveness, Adaptability, Analytical thinking and Communication skills
